Author's POV:
As the conflict of emotions between Amaira and Aayan was solved with a sweet moment, everything was back to normal. The next two days went by, all of them visiting Amrusteshwar Temple and Myanmar Gate.
Amruteshwar Temple is an ancient Shiva temple situated on the banks of the holy river Pravara at Ratanwadi village in the Igatpuri region. It is among the popular Bhandardara tourist places and is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered to be over 1,200 years old. This beautiful stone-carved temple was built by the rulers of the Shilahara dynasty in the 9th century AD. This is one of 12 Shiva temples built by King Jhanj. Ratangad Fort is also located a short distance from this Shiva temple. The Amruteshwar Temple has been constructed in Hemadpanthi architectural style, with beautiful rock carvings on the main shrine. It was built with black and red stones. The ceiling and the walls of the temple are decorated with some impressive and lovely murals. There is a mantapa with 12 pillars. All the pillars have beautifully carved statues and flowers (info source: Google),
Myanmar Gate is the entrance to the famous Dhamma Giri Math and Vipassana Meditation Centre in Igatpuri. A narrow, winding road takes you to the gate, which is graced with beautiful architecture and ornate decorations. The gate itself is a popular tourist spot and is inspired by the Thai style of architecture. Known to be one of the most photogenic places in the region, the gate is also surrounded by majestic mountains in the distance. There is also a little garden near the spot (info from Google).
Amaira's POV:
As we returned from the Myanmar Gate, it was still time for the sun to set completely. Reyansh and Aayan dropped us at the farmhouse and went out to bring the necessities for tomorrow's confession.
Confession? Yes, finally, Aayan is going to confess to Manvi tomorrow, and I was damn happy and excited for them.
Me and Manvi were spending our time talking to each other about everything. We were gossiping, laughing, and enjoying our time. I always thank God for giving me such sweet and real people. Manvi is my best friend and my soulmate. Since the day she met me, she has made my life so much more beautiful. I am more than happy whenever I am around her. I am so excited for tomorrow.
After around two hours, Aayan and Reyansh returned home. We had our dinner and played games until 3 a.m. It was now normal for us to be awake till 3 or 4 a.m. as we used to spend time watching movies or playing different games.
As the morning arrived, nervousness and excitement filled the air. Despite Manvi, who was unaware of everything, she was frustrated because she thought the spot for today was not yet decided and the day would be wasted if we only stayed at home.
"Are yaar batao na ajj kaha jaana hei? Reyansh tum to batao ye dono kuch kaam ke to hei nahi," she said, eyeing us, to which Reyansh chuckled.
("tell me na where we have to go today? reyansh atleast you tell me these two are of no use")
"bata duu ise?" He said it was more like confirming if the spot was also going to be a surprise or not.
("should I tell her?")
"Are yaar bata naa kon rok raha hei tuje?? Ye aayan ya ye amaira sirf bata mei dekhti hoon inhe baadmei," Manvi said.
("tell me, who us stopping you? this aayan or this amaira, just tell me I'll see them later")
Me and Aayan laughed at her antics. Meanwhile, Reyansh told her that we were going to the sunset point, and she was more than happy to hear that.
Time skip to 5:00
Reyansh's POV:
We were leaving for our sunset point. Me and Aayan were waiting for Amaira and Manvi. Both of them descended from the stairs, and our jaws dropped to the ground.
Amaira was wearing one piece that fitted her curves perfectly, with a touch of light makeup and minimal accessories. She was looking so beautiful. I couldn't take my eyes off her; she noticed my gaze on her and shyly left towards the car with Manvi. Me and Aayan also settled into the car.
Aayan was driving the car. Reaching the spot, we went to a point that was already prepared with everything. There were 2 photographers at a distance from us booked by Aayan, and he also placed everything required for the proposal in a safe place.
It was decided that we will tell Manvi to bring something from the car. In the meantime, Aayan will prepare everything, and once we can sense her arrival, me and Amaira will go behind one of those trees. Because Aayan wanted his confession to be like this: minimal, intimate, and personal.
It was all planned, and according to the plan, we sent Manvi to the car. When we saw her approaching us from afar, Aayan gave us hints, but our overexcited Amaira was unable to catch those hints and was lost in adoring the scenery, so I took a step further and..
Amaira's POV:
I was busy admiring the place and was so excited for the confession that I forgot to take the hint from Aayan. I was wandering around when I felt someone grabbing my hand. When I looked towards the hand owner, I saw Reyansh grabbing my hand in a hurry, indicating that I should run behind the trees, and then I remembered the plan.
I ran with him behind a large tree that was surrounded by many. Both of us stood there in hiding positions; he was behind me, both of us panting.
"Pehle batana chahiy na aise bhagake kon lata hei." I said, panting, and he just looked at me in disbelief.
"Theeke theeke abb aise mat dekho mei hi bhul gayi," I said and turned to look in the direction where the whole confession scene was going to take place.
("okay okay now don't look at me like this, I was the one who forgot")
As we saw Manvi approaching, I started recording a video. I could see her confused face. Seeing our absence, Aayan managed to tell her something and made her quiet.
Finally, it was time for Aayan to take a step forward and start confessing.
We were at a little distance from them, so we could see everything. Reyansh, who was standing behind me, was now standing at a very close distance, and I could feel his calm breath on my neck, heat crept thought my neck, his both hands on the trees bark almost trapping me inbetween him. His focus was on the ongoing confession, but my mind was now diverted.
I could feel thousands of butterflies dancing in my stomach with this proximity that was not at all uncomfortable but still made me weak. I was busy staring at his well-defined facial features; it was the first time I was seeing him so close: his long, thick lashes and those kissable lips. I was engrossed in him. He came a little closer, and in swift motion, he whispered, "Focus on the confession, mam." His voice was husky, more deep than usual, and instantly I averted my gaze towards the site.
Realising our position, Reyansh moved a little back, creating some space in between, and I frowned at the loss of warmth.
Confession Scene Author's POV:
As Manvi reached the spot, she was confused to see the cute setup that was made. She saw a bouquet of flowers in his hands, and her confusion widened. She came near him, nervousness written all over her face, "Ye sab kya hei? Amaira aur reyansh kaha hei?" She asked, seeing here and there in order to search for them.
("What is all this? And where are amaira and reyansh?")
Aayan came forward. He gently held her hand with his right hand, still keeping the bouquet in his left hand. The touch sent shivers down her spine. Despite him being her and Amaira's best friend, she had a crush on him from the very start.
The day she saw him, she had that fluttery feeling in her heart. It was back in eleventh grade. Her crush turned into love, but she never had the courage to tell him.
"Aayan... kya huaa??" She asked, her voice shuttered, her heart racing.
("Aayan what happen?")
"Manvi, I want to tell you something, something that I kept in my mind for a long and now I cannot keep it longer," he said, making her heart skip a beat. Aayan's voice was softer and more sincere. This side of Aayan was new for her; she had seen joyous Aayan all the time.
"Yes, tell me," she said, looking into his eyes. He forwarded his left hand and gave her the bouquet of flowers; she happily took it. He came a little closer, both of their hearts beating in unison.
"Manvi, I am coming straight to the point, because now I cannot wait more. It's been years since I had a crush on you, and aside from being your best friend, I have feelings for you, feelings since I had a crush on you, and aside from being your best friend, I have feelings for you, feelings that I never had for anyone. Neither my heart skipped for anyone nor I tried to be in contact with anyone. It's you who made me this crazy for you, and I cannot wait a second to tell you that MANVI, I LOVE YOU. This might be sudden for you, but it's true. I am not faking it or pranking you; it's straight from my heart. Manvi, please accept my proposal. Give me the chance to be your boyfriend, to be your personal punching bag, to be your forever bestfriend" He finished his confession as he kneeled in front of her with a small box of jewellery in his hands, and without any hesitation, Manvi said yes.
Tears streamed down their eyes as they hugged each other. Aayan held her close to her heart, and she held him tighter, clutching his shirt. This vulnerability they showed through their emotions enveloped a feeling of love through them. They were now a couple—a boyfriend, a girlfriend, a commitment for life.
Amaira's POV:
The confession took place in front of our eyes. Aayan kneeled down, opening a small box of jewellery. He bought a pendant for her with his own earned money. He did part-time jobs and did all the hard work to buy it.
My eyes welled up with tears upon seeing them. Manvi accepted the proposal, and they hugged. Giving them a moment, as they broke the hug, I ran towards them, giving the phone to Reyansh, in which I was recording the video.
I ran towards them and hugged them both. I was more than happy; I couldn't explain it in words, but my tears did justice. We were all so happy, Manvi, who never cries easily, was in tears, and Aayan, our gentlemen expressive boy, was also in tears.
Reyansh joined us, and we all did a group hug. All of us were standing near the edge; the sunset spot we chose was actually near a lake. Everyone's face lit up watching the setting sun, which calmed our nerves. The air was filled with love, laughter, and the joy of each other's company.
